Mercy Mission International was founded by Julian and Isa Khan, Mercy Mission is primarily focus on the plight and protection of children in the poorest countries of the world. Mission started its first African operation in June 2002 with nine orphans that rapidly escalated to one hundred within a week. Three months later, our children's home was greatly overwhelmed by an influx of a total of five hundred and ninety seven orphans and destitute children. We no doubt struggle to cope with the adequate caring of these precious children in West African State of Sierra Leone. Over stretched and with virtually no funding, this was the turning point where the couple have to resort to aggressive fund raising of selling their vehicles, and other personal belongings to desperately provide financial help, and collection from devoted parishioners like Sylvia Jones, Amorrett Decker, John Emerson Gbla, Sis Lydia, to name but a few, came in handy to ease the overstretching just about

Mr and Mrs Khan were faced with a dilemma as regards the way forward, they started local transport business and agriculture to aid the project as the collections also came in handy.
In June 2005 Bob and Helen Adams both devoted humanitarians, visited some of our sponsored orphanages and were deeply move by what they experienced. Since then these precious couple have been involve in sponsoring, administering, and reaching out for Mercy Mission Children by donation of medical equipment, money, cloths, their time and even their children Ben and Tom are very strong sponsors of Mercy Mission International. Without the Adams family, it would have been extremely difficult to carry on with the project. Due to health reasons Bob and Helen have scaled down travelling to Sierra Leone but are still actively involve in the Mission.
