blackers is a small boutique company specializing in vegan, organic and natural body care products for humane beings. Our emphasis is on vegan, organic and natural ingredients.
blackers is a small vegan, family run business. we decided that there was a need for a company founded on and driven by vegan values to serve other vegans, but also all humane beings who are searching for products that leave a lighter foot print on the planet while at the same time offering the highest quality at manageable prices.
we hope that all this vegan-speak will not dissuade you from trying our products which you will find to be of the highest quality. vegan ethics are discerning and as such, only the best and most natural and organic ingredients are sourced and used. you will also find that we offer our full line in a kaalgat (naked) version for those humane beings particularly sensitive to scents.
if you are curious as to why we will never use animal ingredients including beeswax and honey please click here. some companies will try and fool you into believing that like beeswax lanolin is harmless. it is obtained from wool and so we beg to differ, and here is why. the same goes for silk. keep it clicking here. if you are curious as to why we will never support, condone or conduct animal testing please click here. and if you are curious as to why we believe the vegan lifestyle to be the healthiest then please click here.
disclaimer. the links above, especially the one on animal testing might be emotionally upsetting for humane beings!
blackers products are handmade in small batches (less than 50 bottles at a time, less than 80 soaps at a time). even our labels were hand designed before being sent to the printer. we hope you will appreciate the time and effort involved. patience and time bring good things.
blackers is committed to inclusivity and not exclusivity and as such we formulate all of our products for use by both yin and yang. him and her. man and woman. adam and eve. lakshmi and vishnu. you get the idea...unisex. for humane beings, all of us interconnected.
the man who has become a thinking being feels a compulsion to give every will-to-live the same reverence for life that he gives to his own. he experiences that other life in his own.
